Part One - Interior Designer Linda McDougald's English Country Style, City Residence

Last weeks feature interior was designed by Linda McDougald and with such a great response of 'Likes' for this post on my Facebook page, I felt sure you would enjoy seeing images of Linda's own city residence.

Linda McDougald's renovated and re-designed city home is just stunning. Using a grey and white palette combined with natural materials such as linen, Linda blends contemporary and antique furniture to create an English feel to her city house. No expense is spared when it comes to the traditional style, dark wood, kitchen which includes a La Cornue Chateau range, (My dream oven). Linda's taste is exquisite and the way she balances contemporary and antique pieces, radiate elegance throughout her home.

When you browse leisurely through these gorgeous images, take time to notice the detail Linda puts into her decorative choices and lovely vignettes. It is details like this that depict a persons style and personality when decorating both inside and out. Linda's love of antiques, English and French style radiate throughout this gorgeous house and garden. As there are too many beautiful images to share in one post, part two will be posted on Wednesday, this will include a bedroom, bathroom and Linda's pretty English style garden which I am sure you will find delightful.

Above: I love the overdyed antique rugs throughout Linda's home. This one is similar in design and colour to the one in my home office. I bought mine in New Zealand, however, If you are reside in the USA, Linda stocks  similar rugs in her store,  Postcards From France.
Above: Antique chandeliers feature in most of the rooms

Please visit again on Wednesday when I will be posting part two of Linda's home which includes more living spaces, a bedroom, bathroom and her gorgeous garden.

Last weeks featured interior also decorated by Linda, was a lakeside Nantucket style home, a little more relaxed but still depicting Linda's distinct style and attention to detail.

YOU WILL FIND PART TWO......HERE
