Pink and Blue For a Beach Themed Cottage

Introducing colour into a space can sometimes detract from the calmness you may want to achieve. However, Martha O'Hara's use of colour in this contemporary home achieves a calming environment with a coastal feel.

I previously featured the work of Martha O'Hara Interiors with, "Pops of Colour in a Texan Interior Design Project". I love the way that Martha takes colour and introduces it into her spaces, never overwhelming, subtle but still stated. With regards to this project, Martha says "Blue and pink hues add a youthful feel throughout the home, while gray and rattan neutrals are warm, but contemporary".

Martha's designs have a freshness about them, that make me smile, I think they also give a me a little more confidence about using colour. If you want to see more of Martha's projects or would like to contact her with regards to your home, please visit her Houzz website, you will find a link above.
