Interior Of The Week - Shabby Chic With Touches Of Blue

Don't you just love this light filled home with a touch of shabby chic?

I just love the blue circular pedestal table and blue and white china, such a fresh Spring look.  Just look at the rustic weathered sideboard, it reminds me a little of the French Shutters I bought for my bedroom makover.

Blue is so back! If your want to introduce some blue into your home you might like this little slide show I put together on blue and white interiors. Blue and white also features in this months NZ House & Garden Magazine.... gosh I posted my blue and white feature before them...I must be on track and I own masses of blue and white Chinese ginger jars I collected while living in Asia ☺By the way NZ House & Garden is an awesome magazine, probably one of the best no matter where you live in the world. When I buy my monthly copy it's bliss, I take myself off to a sunny corner with a cup of tea and revel in it!...and in case your wondering....no I don't get anything to promote it, I genuinely think it is such a great magazine because the interiors, articles and recipes dominate the magazine, not the adverts. I also feel that New Zealander's have developed such amazing style and design so you can see some beautiful homes gracing its pages.

    1. Aren't they lovely images and I agree with the outdoor one. I used to have a lovely garden like this in previous home but sadly I now have a postage stamp piece of grass (which Poppy is vast turning into a digging pit!, and my borders are hedges. I do plan to do something special though for next year and working on some lovely vivid green boxed hedging and some appropriately placed pots of flowers.

  4. Complete gorgeousness, Poppy! So calm and serene looking. I started adding pale blues/grays back in to my home early this spring because it helped make it look just a bit more Swedish to me - which I love! Blue and white in the spring/summer is just perfection! :)
