A sneak peek at "Hazed" the new Kiwi on line Indie Mag...
I love Cush & Nooks blog and regularly receive Vic's inspirational design posts. This week I was excited to see a new on-line magazine, "Hazed" mentioned in Vic's latest post. Hazed Magazine is devoted to NZ Indie products... there's lots of ideas, recipes and inspiration, so pop over and read the inaugural issue "here".
What about a handle with a difference....
A cute idea from "Country Living". A short time ago I posted an idea of my own for up-cycling vintage cups and saucers into mini cake stands. You can see the post and step by step instructions "here"
Upcyled glassware creating some lovely cloche's - See "here" for instructions.
Also spotted at Country Living...Who doesn't posses a watch with a broken watch strap, hiding away in a draw, now you can re-cycle your watch face with a vintage or trendy scarf. If your watch face is antique, you could use a pretty piece of lace or organza ribbon.
I can't end this weeks inspiration without a couple of delicious recipes, this week both are from Liren at Kitchen Confidante...
Who doesn't love a Margarita, but have you heard of a Margarita slice? - Hop over to Kitchen Confidante for Liren's yummy non alcoholic version.
Apple Spice Cake" from Kitchen Confidante

Oh boy, i do feel inspired by all these great ideas! I love the clever trick with the watches... Now i'm back to look at your post to see about the mini cake stands. I can't help but wonder if you've found it inside you to start painting again, you know, you're pretty brilliant at it...

Thanks Cindy, I am going to try upcycling a watch I have with and old vintage scarf of my mums, I shall post a photo when I do this.
DeleteI haven't started painting again yet as I am spending all my time trying to sort out my mothers house, she has lived in the house 56 years and she brought another previous 15 years worth of things with her when she immigrated from the UK. You would not believe the wonderful discoveries I have made. Each time I open a draw or cupboard I am either ecstatic or overwhelmed :). I plan to paint again once I have finished the house sorting etc.
Thank you for stopping by again.

Oh, I love the wedding cloche. It's so pretty, and reminds me of Nel who is getting married in two weeks. The apple spice cake looks so yummy too. I like apple desserts in the Fall.

Thank you for your comments Sheri, I have a great Fall recipe to share next week. Is Nel your daughter?

Thanks so much Lee for the mention! What a great idea for a watch with a missing strap! I'm sure I have one or two hiding somewhere in a drawer. Thanks for the inspiration!

Your welcome Kifus, you have such wonderful interiors on your blog I love to share those special ones with my readers. Yes the watch strap idea is such a clever one. I have a lot of vintage scarfs I found at my mums I thought what a great idea to upcycle one of them.
