A Monochrome Interior In a Stunning Toronto Home

A design company with a love of fashion, art and architecture, create a stylish interior for a Toronto residence.

Describing their style as; "chic & edgy interior spaces that exceed expectations", 'The Design co' have truly excelled in the design of this Toronto home. When working with monochrome colours there needs to be a lot of thought put into the furnishing and decorative accessories to avoid it looking cold or uninviting. With this project, warmer textures such as velvet and sheepskin against black leather make it look inviting. Combining black with light coloured linen in other furniture, adds a sense of warmth. A touch of gold to a black and white palette definitely adds glamour and sophistication. Rich wooden floors also help to warm up a monochrome scheme.

Monochrome interiors are growing on me and when combined with some natural wood and textures it seems to come together wonderfully.

  1. Hi Lee, I do like this home though i think it's a tad formal for me, but i love the blush accents and also the kitchen is to die for. ...Dreaming of a new kitchen!
