The interior walls of this lovely home are painted a restful palette of neutral white (Benjamin Moore OC-21 Winter White, eggshell finish). The traditional style kitchen is true Nantucket style. Linda McDougald Design/Postcards from Paris Home, approached this project using traditional style and combined antique pieces with quality reproduction pieces. Custom faux finishes have been used on some furniture and panelling, creating a weathered driftwood appearance. Stunning, carved antique doors have been used as an entrance to the living room. Other antiques have been incorporated such as lighting and some furniture and decorative pieces. Linen is the favoured fabric for the soft furnishing and is perfect for creating a relaxed atmosphere. The beautiful damask curtains add a little luxury and a slightly more formal look to the living room. The master bedroom has French influence and the mirrored side tables add a touch of opulence.
I love everything about this home, its welcoming entrance, the curving staircase, beamed and wood panelled ceilings and the wonderful interior style by Linda McDougald Design. Much of the furniture is through Linda's business, 'Postcards From Paris', including the gorgeous Kravet sofa in the living room so if you are based in the USA you can source the furniture or similar products through Postcards From Paris, (link above). If you would like to see more of Linda's work or approach her about your own project, please contact her through her Houzz profile (link above).
