Decorating With Pink - The Cross Interior Design

Monday's post was focused on a painting in situ of roses by Gabryel Harrison. The interior designers of this project definitely embraced colour so I wanted to explore some more of their work.  The project I am focusing on today is all about 'pink', personally I have never used pink as part of a main colour scheme, however you may be pleasantly surprised how well it has worked in this Laneway house.

The designers of this project are, The Cross Interior DesignI love their distinct style, which I would describe as fresh, modern and a little adventurous, they take colour and playfully create beautiful spaces. Their use of colour in this project is subtle yet powerful. I say this because The Design Cross are very clever at incorporating colour into a home that works subtly in areas such as the living and dining, but more powerfully in more personal spaces such as a bedroom. In the case of this project it is the power of pink against a white background and the addition of geometric and floral patterns, for a modern approach to a eclectic vintage look.

The photography is by Janis Nicolay who has a blog called Pinecone Camp where she shares her photography, recipes and interiors. Janis also has an Etsy shop where you can purchase her photography as wall art.

Designers, The Cross Interior Design have a home furniture and décor showroom in Vancouver, they specialise in both residential and commercial renovations, and offer a remote design service for out of area or overseas clients. To view more of this project or their other projects, please visit their Houzz profile.

  1. Oh wow... they did it just right! I love the way they added the large floral print to the pink sofa... It's a little boho, a little modern. The colors and textures play together so well, not too sweet... Perfect! That funky mirror in the bathroom is awesome too...

    1. Thanks Anna, bit late seeing this comment sorry. I am not personally a fan of pink but can appreciate it in a home such as this. I think a vintage look suits accents of pink.
