A Newport Peninsula Home - A Fabulous Use of Natural Materials For A Coastal Look

Above: Wonderful wooden bar stools steal the stage in this coastal kitchen

I was busy creating a post on a Newport Beach home when I came across another project by the same designers, I love the combination of textures the designers have used and find it a true inspiration for my love of coastal style.

I have featured a few projects from Blackband design in the past, but I would have to say that this is probably my favourite to date. Plenty of inspiration if you are renovating or building a beach house or you want your home to have a  more of a coastal look.

Above: Chunky drift wood lights are a fabulous contrast against the white background.
Above: The beach photography above the fireplace creates a sense of calm. I am thinking of something similar for my bedroom. I love black frames with black and white photography, however in this instance it is more calming in white
Above: The open plan living area is a welcoming space with a mix of textures and pattern and my favourite combination of blue and white

Above: A cosy reading corner or place to reflect. A coffee table made from pieces of wood is a statement piece. The black and white frames compliment and balance the black iron side tables

Above: I have a similar bookshelf in my living room which I am currently thinking about updating. I like the traditional panelled doors on this one

Above: Texture, texture in this interesting, rustic bedroom. Certainly an eclectic look

Above: I love the floor tiles which reflect the tones of the marble tops
