Interior Design Inspiration - Mood Boards and Palette Generator

2012 is full of wonderful colour inspiration including Amethyst, one of my personal favourites and Laura Ashley have just launched their new Berkley Square range in muted tones of amethyst.  I love their new collection and as you can see by my post on "Mauve Inspiration" that this colour features in my own living area. Laura Ashley's new collection is light and fresh, inspired by a stylised wisteria motif with accent colours of olive, dove grey, linen and white. The range is designed to work well with their Sherwood furniture collection.  A wonderful Spring colour and uplifting at any time of the year.

I used the Resene colour palette generator to create a colour palette to match the Laura Ashley Interior above. A really cool gadget to help with your interior design.  Just upload your image and Resene generate a suggested palette for you. Obviously if your starting your decorating from scratch then you may not have an image to upload... Never fear! Olioboard can be utilised here, you can put together your board using products and swatches of the colours your planning to use, then upload your board to Resene to generate their suggested colour palette. The palette will help you with selecting cushions/rugs/curtains/wall colours.

Below is an Amethyst mood board I've created using Olioboard, a fantastic tool to help you with your interior design ideas.
More of this colour and a little of my living area on an earlier post... "Mauve Inspiration"

You can visit Laura Ashley's Australian on-line store "here" to see their complete range.

Hope you had a lovely weekend
