White Kitchens

Everyone absolutely loved Becky's Farmhouse kitchen post last week and I was thrilled that this has been one of my most popular posts, it just goes to show how loved the "farmhouse/country" style is.  Becky has posted some more images, her before and after and work in progress which you can view "here". If you missed my earlier post on Beckys kitchen you will find a link at the end of this post.

Yesterday a friend came over and was mentioning that she is about to re-do her kitchen and how she found my blog great inspiration, of course I was thrilled to hear this and therefore decided to share some more fabulous kitchen ideas. I've chosen five all white kitchens, each one having it's own unique style. It's made me desperate to do a mini makeover on my tiny kitchen, starting with the most annoying light which hangs over the breakfast bar. This flashy designer light (already in the house), is down to 2 working bulbs out of 6 because no-one, male or female, can work out how to get these darn bulbs out to change them!

  1. Ooo I love the first kitchen, especially those rough wooden floors! I have been meaning to repaint our kitchen for a long time now (it is currently a bright blue with white window sills and trims!). I would love for something calmer and more neutral. Great inspiration, thank you:)

  2. I love all these kitchens, and can't wait to do our own mini kitchen makeover. That made me laugh about your light that you can't get the bulbs out! I hope you figure it out, or replace it with a more user-friendly one. x

    1. Me too Vic, mine is just doors and benchtop but mum is my priority at the moment. The light bulbs...well, its a great excuse as the look doesn't fit with my style, I have the perfect idea in my head but not yet found one in NZ that is within my price range. If you know a good shop that I can order on line in NZ with a chrome style 3 drop pendant, please let me know ☺

  3. Blue can be nice too but white is timeless don't you think. I love those floors also, I have wooden floors but they are rimu. I have thought often about having them all stripped back and blonded or painted in a white wash but I do realise that it will create a cool feeling to the room, the reddish toned rimu has more warmth to it.

  4. I love them all especially the 3rd and 4th flooring. The contrast of dark flooring with light/white cabinets is heaven to me! Thanks for posting all the great photos!
