French Country Outlet Store and Colour

Keeping with yesterday's theme on"Colour", French Country have some great specials this week. Colourful hemp and woven bags and gorgeous beach towels, grab them while you can. I love the hemp Safari bags, what a bargain at NZ$10.  The natural basket bags would be neat for storing magazines at the beach.

Colourful Interiors

As an artist I am not the "norm", if you look around my home I'm surrounded by neutral decor. However the wonderful thing is I can easily and quickly  introduce colour with the use of accessories enabling me in a jiffy to change the mood of a room.  Today I'm sharing some magical, colourful interiors to  inspire you.

This gorgeous room is from Gary Riggs Interiors. Purple is a vivid colour and not easy to use in a living area. However, mixed with  opulent gold, the neutral sofa and the purple painting, like magic it all comes together.

In NZ right now these colours are so out there.  In fact my eldest son who works in the fashion industry turned up at my house yesterday wearing a pair of trousers the exact blue of the jacket above - This image is from Pinterest and traced back to "The girl with the popped collar"

Spring/Summer Fashion and Net-a-porter

Spring is finally here in "The Land of the Long White Cloud, (NZ) for my International viewers. Our clocks have moved forward, its 6.15pm and the sun is still shining through my living room windows. I finally feel like my tired, winter batteries are beginning to recharge. Isn't it amazing how longer, lighter days, immediately have a revitalising effect upon us.

I've been browsing both the Internet and high street fashion this week and "brights", as my son in the fashion industry calls them, are certainly the go. Blue, green, yellow even purple is screaming out from the shelves with pastels quietly retreating in the background.
