My last post featured the kitchen of a Victorian house renovation, an edgy mix of traditional and contemporary furnishing and materials, a renovation with surprising twists and turns. Today I want to share a little more and I think you might be pleasantly surprised.

Home Tour - Victorian Exterior...Surprising Interior
Once the village Rectory/Vicarage, every room is a surprise in this converted, late Victorian, early Edwardian home. Drawing elements from different periods and styles, uniting them to create an interesting interior with unexpected surprises. If you are interested to see more images, please use the link at the end of this post.

Above: Rich, plush velvet sofas set the scene for the monochrome living area. I believe what appears to be a bookshelf on the left hand side is wallpaper
Above: An old apocatherapy cabinet forms the base of a dresser
A welcoming touch of shabby chic
The feeling of a grand manor to the formal dining room, a stunning chandelier made of antlers is the focus
Casual country style kitchen, continuing the soft greys of the living room
Casual kitchen dining with a country feel
I am actually a little unsure about the artwork on the wall whether it is 2 or three dimensional, regardless it is eye catching and works wonderfully with the chrome beds. The small bombe chest adds a pop of colour to the grey scheme
Shutters are so versatile, allowing the light and air to flow through or easy to close for privacy. The red/grey blanket and pillows add warmth to this cool, white room
The wallpaper in this bedroom brings a contemporary look this monochromatic scheme

Romantic Interior with French Flair
Bringing you some Valentine romance with the interior of this beautiful Victorian house. This home has a surprising interior as it floats between French Period decor and contemporary to the extreme. In all cases it takes on a "minimalist" feel. My favourite is the French period doors leaning against the wall, I adore the aged patina. I love "distressed" and used old French Shutters for my own bedroom makeover. I have only included the romantic images, if you want to see more of this home and it's modern surprises, please visit the link below.

A Peek Inside a Beautiful Victorian Home - Crisp & White
I love to peek inside peoples homes and this beautiful Victorian home in London has so many gorgeous features to share, so today there are no instructions, recipes or crafts, you can sit down and relax with your cup of coffee and enjoy the restful environment of this home. The owners have retained the Victorian charm but have renovated the kitchen area to a sleek modern family/kitchen with lovely outdoor living. Don't forget to look closely at the detail and vignette's on the mantel pieces, always lots of inspiration from peoples mantels. So without further "ado".... I'll open the doors...
