Designers Guild - Madhuri Fabrics - Exotic colours and patterns of India

Sungadi - Indigo, a traditional Uzbek ikat by Designers Guild

Designers Guild fabrics have always been a personal favourite of mine, their vibrant colours and detailed designs set them apart from other fabric houses. Whether beautiful drapes, a stunning one-off chair or some accent cushions, their fabrics are stunningly beautiful. Their latest collection is inspired by the exotic colours and patterns of India and appropriately named, 'Madhuri Fabrics'.

Chair Obsession - Launching the latest in designer chairs on-line

If you have been following my blog you will have realised I am obsessed with interior design. I am also a self confessed perfectionist, so meticulous that when choosing a paint colour, the paint chip is fully analysed right down to its tint. Understanding the effect of changing light, swatches are carefully painted around my room so they can be viewed throughout the day. My local paint shop knows me by name and when I insist their Quarter Iron (grey hue) is throwing lavender, they simply roll their eyes. When does passion turn to obsession you might ask? Personally, I think passion turns to obsession when you become so immersed in what you love, you need to find another way of expressing yourself. For me, it was about creating Lee Caroline, a place where I could share my love of interiors and homeware inspiration. For interior designer Julienne Snyders, it was turning her passion for beautiful textiles and chairs into a creative business.

Designers Guild - Autumn 2013 Release

I have many enjoyable moments as a home inspiration blogger and one is receiving the latest designs from some of the brands I adore. This week I received the latest release for Designers Guild's 2013 Autumn range. Often we think of autumn and associate it with earthy colours, Designers Guild  look at autumn from a completely different aspect and I am swooning at their jewel toned colours and beautiful patterns. The new range is stunning to say the least, colours such as amethyst, slate and magenta and emerald, jade and cobalt feature in their range, which more than lives up to my expectations from this world wide brand.

Over dyed and dip dye are still making a statement as seen in the rugs above.

If you wish to see more of Designers Guild's new range, you can visit their on-line showroom. If you live in Auckland and looking for a stockist, you can find Designers Guild wallpapers and fabrics at Allium, 11 Teed Street, Newmarket. Allium are one of Auckland's top interior design stores and carry a range of colourful homeware and beautiful furnishing that compliment the Designers Guild range perfectly.

Dip Dye DIY - Interiors, Homeware, Crafts & More

I'm sure you have noticed that dip dye seems to have been popping up everywhere over the past year, making its way into fashion, interiors and even hair. Iv'e been searching the internet for some really inspiring and "out of the box" ideas with dip dye to share with you.

I am not sure I would be brave enough to dip dye my hair but if I was 20 years younger, as a blonde myself, I would most definitely try this shade...

Love the new range from Designers Guild who have have taken aboard a dip dyed look to the walls in their Autumn 2012 promotion.

Fed up with that plain duvet cover, dip dye if white or if coloured then dip in bleach to remove colour.

The ideas below are via, Papernstitch, a fabulous blog with lots of inspiration, diy, crafts and more. Hop over to read Brittni's post "Dipped and Dyed".

DIY ombre ornaments via Ambrosia Girl  another great DIY/craft blog. Pop over to see step by step instructions on how to create these dip dyed ornaments. They would look great hanging or displayed together in a bowl.
